Oscars Make-up: Shimmery Golds & Red Lips

Monday night I was invited to two events: the 10 year anniversary of L’Oreal in Romania and the 4 year anniversary of Bucharest Style and since the Oscars were still in trend I decided to do an inspired make-up look. Metallic/shimmery gold eyeshadow will never go out of style and the lips were supposed to be a red/orange ombre that looked lovely in real life. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to capture it on camera. The curls were done at Green Day Spa and lasted the whole night. I hope you like it!

Grad de dificultate/ Difficulty level:
Cum se realizeaza / How to do it:

I started by prepping my eyelids with foundation and powder and added primer so that the make-up would last longer. Then I used a creamy base (NYX Jumbo pencil – Cottage Cheese) on the lid so that the eye shadows would have something to adhere to and last longer. I pressed shade 1 on the lid (a shimmery gold from the Shany Palette), then I added shade 2, a matte peach color, in the crease. I used a shimmery white from the same palette under the eyebrow and a medium brown in the outer corner. Towards the end I applied L’Oreal Super Liner Silkissime and I smudged it out using a darker brown for a smoked out look; I put the same color on the lower lashes. Then I used mascara and applied individual lashes in the outer corner of the eyes.
