I'm back! Sunt sigura ca nu v-a fost prea dor de mine avand in vedere ca am avut fete super cute care mi-au tinut locul. Cert e ca eu am fost linistita stiind ca nu va las singure :D. M-am simtit foarte bine in "concediu", multumesc tuturor pentru urari!

I'm back! I'm sure you haven't missed me too much since I had some lovely girls filling out for me. As for myself, I was at peace knowing that I wasn't leaving you alone. I had a great time on my holiday, I'd like to thank you all for your lovely wishes.

Travel essentials by Nookie

Hey sweeties, Nookie from FashionInMyEyes here. Koko asked me to fill in today for her while she’s relaxing in the sun. Though, how I know Koko, she’s probably under an umbrella right now using all those Vichy 50spf+ lotions she posted on facebook.

Make up is not my area of strength so I’m not going to tell you about my make up routine or something like that because, trust me, it’s really boring, besides a bronzer and a couple of  red lipsticks there’s nothing to it. Still, I enjoy every look Koko posts and the make by u feature.

 

So, because summer isn’t over and some of us still didn’t go on vacation, me included, I thought that a couple of travel essentials are in order. Almost every time I pack silly things, and I end up forgetting the important stuff.

Here we go :

* Books and magazines : magazines for the road in case you get bored and books, books are must especially if you go somewhere with a beach. Though, if you have a Kindle or an Ipad, lucky you, you won’t have to carry them around.

* Lotions, all kind of lotions, from sun lotions to mosquito lotions, nobody wants to get back red as lobster and bitten by those pesky mosquitoes.

* A sewing kit, don’t want to count the number of times I needed one and didn’t have were to get it from.

* Comfy shoes & adequate bag, we all love heels but they can be a burden if you have to visit lots of places.
 

* A map and a city guide, this is mandatory if you are planning to leave the country and explore other ones, you don’t want to get lost. I always do, and again if you have a smart phone, the Google maps application always comes in handy, I even use it in my hometown, imagine that.

 

* Camera, you have to immortalize all those beautiful places and upcoming fun!

* Last but not least, killer clothes and beauty products, I’m not going to give you a reason for this one.

Buna, fetelor! 

Eu sunt Lili de la FeteleSpun.ro si imi face o placere deosebita sa fiu aici, alaturi de voi, cititoarele dragei de Koko :* Ea se distreaza acum la mare (o pauza bine-meritata!), so am acceptat cu mare drag sa-i tin locul putin aici pe blog.
Inspirata de tema vacantei la mare, am conceput pentru voi un look cu multe nuante de albastru, ten bronzat şi buze colorate. De fapt, cred ca va fi si pe gustul lui Koko, ea ne inspira mereu cu multa culoare si elemente fun :P

La ochi am creat un smokey eye doar cu nuante de albastru:

For the eyes, I created a smokey look using all blue shades:

Pasul 1: Baza pentru pleoape, ca de obicei, si un dermatograf negru la baza genelor. Pe toata pleoapa mobila am intins un fard albastru inchis.
Step 1: Eyeshadow base, as usual, and a black eye pencil at the base of the lashes. A dark blue eyeshadow spread all over the lid, up to the crease.

Pasul 2: In pliu am aplicat cu o pensula fluffy un albastru mediu, mai deschis decit prima nuanta.
Step 2:  In the crease, I applied a medium blue color with a fluffier brush.

Pasul 3: Mai sus in pliu am blenduit o nuanta bleu mai deschisa si am intins-o bine ca sa creez un degrade. Acest bleu deschis l-am aplicat si in zona coltului intern al ochiului, ca sa iluminez ochiul. La acest pas am blenduit toate culorile foarte bine, ca sa nu se observe treceri bruste intre culori.
Step 3: I then blended a light blue eyeshadow at the edge of the shape created earlier, for a faded out effect. I applied the same ligh blue in the inner corner of the eye, to brighten it. At this stage, I blended all the colours really well into each other, so there are no harsh lines.

Pasul 4: Am conturat pleoapa de jos cu aceleasi culori: albastru inchis pe portiunea exterioara, albastrul mediu pe mijloc si cel deschis spre interior, estompind bine marginea.
Step 4: I contoured the lower lash line with the same colours: dark blue at the outer corner, mid blue in the center part and light blue in the inner corner, blending the lower edge really well.

Sigur, am aplicat si un highlight pe arcada, un fard deschis la culoare, pe care l-am amestecat cu nuanta bleu din pliu. Eyeliner nu am mai aplicat, pentru ca imi doream o forma rotunjita a machiajului.... si ca sa iasa albastrul in evidenta. Am aplicat o pereche de gene false destul de lungi ;)

Pe fata: am conturat obrajii si timplele cu bronzer, un blush coraliu pe pometi si un highlighter crema deasupra pometilor, classic face-contouring.
Ruj: Revlon Kiss Me Coral (o nuanta care i-a placut tare lui Koko).

Of course, I applied a highlighter eyeshadow on the brow bone, blended down with the light blue from the crease. I didn’t apply more eyeliner, because I wanted a more rounded shape of the eye… and because I wanted the blue to be th ecenter-part of the make-up. I did apply some simple long falsies ;)

Face: I contoured my cheek bones and temples with bronzer, applied some coraly blush on the apples of the cheeks and some cream highlighter on top, classic face-contouring.
Lipstick: Revlon Kiss Me Coral (a shade Koko really liked in one of my tutorials).

Va pup pe toate, sper v-a placut! Stiu ca e foarte simplu si nu foarte spectaculos, dar asta mi-a inspirat mie ideea de a construi un look cu aceasta ocazie :D A fost o onoare pentru mine si va astept cu mult drag si pe la mine! Much love :*

Hey girls!

V-am intrebat saptamana trecuta daca sa pun look-ul pe blog si cate dintre voi ati zis ca da, asa ca here it is. Sunt sigura ca v-am innebunit cu atata mov in ultimul timp, dar macar e o lectie "pretioasa" : puteti sa vedeti cat de importante sunt nuantele in machiaj, cum pot fi combinate & so on. Daca nu va sta bine cu lavender, de exemplu, poate va sta bine cu indigo sau violet. De aia va zic mereu sa incercati, sa experimentati.

I asked you last week if I should post this look and some of you said yes, so here it is. I'm sure I've bored you to death with all this purple lately, but at least it serve as a good lesson : you can see how important shades are, how they can be combined & so on. For example, if lavender doesn't look good on you, maybe indigo or violet does. That's why I always tell you to experiment with color.
